How do you enlarge your personal lot?

You have two options. If you are new and have the tiny lot you can do the grow plant quest and doing that will double your lot size. Or you can search the real estate link and buy an additional property. A couple different sizes should be available, along with different backgrounds.

Anyone with a 5×6 New User Lot - Can Grow Their Lot Size Too!
Over the past few months, when you registered to join Tirnua and created your first persona you were given a lot of your own as a starter home. Now you can double the size of that lot just by growing your first trees! You will need to purchase the starter kit to get you on your way to harvesting your first tree. Refer to the how to Harvest Plants Help Panel for more information

You already got it fixed ingame, but for others who might have that problem, hit F11. It maximizes the browser so you see the buttons under the picture and can click "Set lot thumbnail".
(The snapshot dialog gets too big for the browser sometimes depending on resolution, size of your screen and so on)
